
Lisa Burrows is a lecturer in nursing at the University of Plymouth. Her background is in mental health with a special interest in dementia care. She is a co-founder of a memory cafe in Cornwall (UK), which provides a community based meeting place that provides support for people living with dementia and their family. She is currently writing up her PhD thesis which is exploring how and why memory cafes work, using realist methodology and ethnographic approaches. She has spoken about her research at national and international conferences.
