The Online Platform
Realist 2021 is about exchanging knowledge and making connections with fellow researchers in the Realist field. This online conference incorporates both live elements and the option to access the full programme at your convenience at all hours of the day via the online platform. In addition to the many scheduled sessions, you can network, explore the flash presentation gallery and conduct meetings at a time that is convenient for you.
How it works
In advance of the conference commencing, you will receive access to the online conference platform to customise your profile and start building your schedule. All sessions, activities and networking will take place in the online platform. You can begin scheduling your meetings for 16 – 18 February 2021 as soon as you access the platform. All you need to join is a computer, internet access and an up-to-date web browser.
The platform will remain open until 18 March 2021, enabling you to log in at any time to re-watch recordings and access resources, as well as retrieve any notes, messages and contact information you collected during the conference.
Enjoy live sessions
Delegates will be able to join live keynote, panel and expert paper sessions with presenters joining from all across the world. These live streamed sessions give you the opportunity to engage with presenters and delegates via the live Q&A function during each talk. If you miss a talk, you will have the option to watch it on demand after the conference (subject to registration type)
Join Knowledge Café break-out discussions
Switch on your camera and microphone to join small break-out discussions during the virtual knowledge cafés. These video sessions are a great way to share insights and get to know colleagues in the field.
Explore the flash presentation gallery
Open 24 hours a day, you can enjoy browsing through the flash presentation gallery at any time that suits you. Want to learn more about a presentation, you can send the presenter a message or join a live Q&A with the presenter at the designated time in during the live programme.
Connect with your community
Make contact with old and new colleagues via the online meeting hub. You will be able to search for other participants, use the chat function, and schedule video/voice meetings within the platform.
